John Powell (September 22, 1925 – September 24, 2009) was a Jesuit priest, counselor, professor of theology and psychology and a very popular spiritual author, presenter and retreat master during the second half of the 20th century. Powell was a proponent of humanistic Catholicism and wrote many books mostly dealing with psychology and Catholic theology.
